A Reliable Van Is Essential
Whether it’s new or used Toyota’s are usually the best option. If you do have mechanical problems parts are often easier to find even in more remote parts of the country.
Get the vehicle checked by a trusted mechanic. Newer models and less kilometres don’t always make them a better choice.
Factory Fit Out or Build you Own
Personally I would go for the factory fit out if you can afford it. Whichever you choose apart from the obvious these are my must haves:-
1. Solar plus house batteries
2. Fridge with decent size freezer
3. Toilet (More on showers and toilets later)
4. Inverter (Built-in or portable)
5. Wind out awning
Most factory built models will have the above features plus much more.
